Free evening of Shakespeare in the Park tomorrow night!

 |

This Friday, Aug. 26, you are all invited to attend a free evening of Shakespeare as the Nashville Shakespeare Festival performs "The Winter's Tale" at Shakespeare in Centennial Park. The show is part of The Nashville Shakespeare Festival's 2005 season, and thanks to a generous gift, Lipscomb University is able to sponsor Friday night's production. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. with pre-show musical entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. There will be a section reserved for Lipscomb, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other show times include every Thursday-Sunday from now to Sept. 4.

"The Winter's Tale," one of Shakespeare's later plays, combines elements of tragedy and comedy in a story of love and friendship that is tainted by jealousy and the cynicism of age, but ultimately redeemed through innocent young love, according to the Nashville Shakespeare Festival's website.

You won't want to miss this fun, free evening!
