Nearly two months after parents dropped their students off for the 2017-18 academic year, Lipscomb University invites families back to campus for a weekend full of fun, fellowship and Coca-Cola as part of Lipscomb’s 2017 Family Weekend, Oct. 6-8.

FamilyWeekend2017_SIDEFAM1“Family Weekend 2017 offers parents a unique glimpse into their child’s Lipscomb experience, as well as offers an opportunity for them to meet with the faculty and administrators who are investing in them on a daily basis,” said Scott McDowell, SVP of Student Life. “We have an exciting line-up of events for this year’s Family Weekend and look forward to getting to know the families of our students.”

After 17 years of serving only Pepsi products, the Lipscomb community will celebrate the arrival of Coca Cola on-campus with free drinks, live music from students within the George Shinn College of Entertainment & the Arts and the announcement of the winner of a $1,000 scholarship at a special Coca Cola Launch Party on Friday, Oct. 6, from 5-8 p.m. in Bison Square.

Families will also be invited to take their free soft drinks over to the Lipscomb Soccer Complex to enjoy a NCAA Division I soccer game featuring the lady Bisons who will be taking on the North Florida Ospreys at 7 p.m.
