CEA to co-host red carpet Nashville premiere of ‘I Still Believe,' announce partnership with Kingdom Story Company

One love can change your life. One life can change the world. From the creators of I Can Only Imagine comes an inspiring love story for the ages. Rediscover the wonder of love in I Still Believe, based on the real-life story of chart-topping Christian musician Jeremy Camp.
The community has a unique opportunity to celebrate the opening of I Still Believe at the Nashville red-carpet VIP premiere Wednesday, March 11 at AMC Thoroughbred 20 (633 Frazier Dr, Franklin, TN 37067). Co-hosted by Lipscomb University’s George Shinn College of Entertainment & the Arts and Kingdom Story Company, guests will begin the evening with a walk on the red-carpet walk from 6-7 p.m. followed by the screening at 7 p.m.
A limited number of seats are available for the Nashville premiere of I Still Believe. Tickets are $9 each and may be purchased at bit.ly/IStillBelieveScreening.
Starring KJ Apa, Britt Robertson, Shania Twain and Gary Sinise, I Still Believe is directed by Jon and Andy Erwin, produced by Kevin Downes, with the screenplay by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn. Prior to the screening, directors Andrew and Jon Erwin will speak to attendees to share insight into the project. I Still Believe is a powerful reminder that in the midst of life’s storms, true hope can be found.
Lipscomb’s College of Entertainment & the Arts is partnering with Kingdom Story Company’s Jon and Andy Erwin not only for this premiere but also on an educational initiative to train the next generation of filmmakers. Both organizations have similar visions for impacting the world through powerful storytelling and believe that this can only happen by both industry and educational sectors aligning in more intentional ways.
“One of the big concerns by some about arts education in general is that it doesn’t lead to jobs,” said Mike Fernandez, dean of the George Shinn College of Entertainment & the Arts. “But a partnership like this one with the Erwin brothers illustrates the kinds of relationships and pipelines that Lipscomb has and continues to build with leaders in all aspects of the entertainment industry. Preparing our students to be successful in their careers cannot be done in a vacuum with education alone.”
“Partnerships such as this not only provide our students internships and an opportunity to expand the borders of the traditional learning experience outside of the classroom,” he continued, “it also gives us an opportunity to find out what organizations need to be successful and to see how we can develop programming that helps these organizations thrive.”

We look forward to increasing that number as we begin two productions over the next month.”

Fernandez said that at the premier he will give more details related to the industry pipeline partnership.
“John and Andy Erwin are friends and filmmakers whose work I’ve admired for years,” said Steve Taylor, director of Lipscomb’s School of Theatre and Cinematic Arts. “They’d expressed a certain skepticism about employing film school graduates based on their past experiences, but I suggested maybe they needed to tap a better source. So we sent them four of our top film majors as interns last fall, and all four have quickly become paid Kingdom staff. This is a great benefit not only to Kingdom but to our students and graduates as well. We look forward to a long partnership.”
