Biography
Daelyn Wright is a dedicated nursing professional and educator with deep roots in the Nashville area. After graduating from Smyrna High School in 2009, she attended Tennessee Wesleyan University, where she played soccer and earned a degree in psychology in 2014. Her passion for healthcare led her to continue her education at Tennessee Wesleyan’s nursing program in Knoxville, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2016.
Upon returning to Nashville in 2016, she began her nursing career at Saint Thomas Midtown, primarily working in the cardiac ICU. Over the years, she has held various positions at Saint Thomas Midtown, including ICU float pool RN, RN House Supervisor and Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac/Stepdown unit. In this role, she played a pivotal part in developing a nurse fellowship program designed to support and mentor new ICU, cardiac, and stepdown nurses—an initiative that reflects her deep passion for nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her diverse nursing experience also includes time at Centennial Heart in Nashville, where she specialized in electrophysiology, as well as travel nursing in Houston, TX, and San Diego, CA. In 2024, she earned her Master’s in Nursing degree, marking the same year she transitioned into her role at Lipscomb University. Beyond her professional endeavors, she has been happily married since 2018 to an aircraft mechanic and Army National Guard commander. She finds immense joy in spending time with her family, watching soccer, and exploring new destinations around the world.
