Biography
Randy Willingham is the Director for the Hazelip School of Theology's Competency-Based Theological Education. He holds degrees from Oklahoma State University, Harding University, Harding School of Theology, and Abilene Christian University. His 1994 doctoral thesis, entitled Fighting for Peaceful Fighting: A Teaching Ministry Moving Church Members from Suppressing to Managing Conflict, sparked his ongoing research interest on the interaction between leadership and conflict. His field work has engaged hundreds of leaders as a certified coach for Leadership Circle and informed the development of his own 360 focus on leadership that is integrated with biblical/theological studies.
Prior to joining Lipscomb, he taught Bible and ministry courses focused on leadership and conflict at Harding University. Willingham has also served as a preaching minister for churches in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He and his wife Eva live in Nashville and have two sons and four grandchildren.
