Biography
Torr completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Accounting from Lipscomb University in 2001 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2006. He completed a Community Pharmacy Residency with the University of Tennessee and Reeves-Sain Drug Store in Murfreesboro, Tenn in 2010. His practice background includes chain and independent community pharmacy, with an emphasis on compounding, immunizations, and medication therapy management. In 2009 he was recognized by the American Pharmacists Association through their One-to-one Patient Counseling Program. He has held numerous leadership positions with local and state professional associations and currently serves as Treasurer for the Tennessee Pharmacists Association. His intellectual pursuits focus on the use of healthcare simulation as an active learning methodology. He is in the process of completing a Master of Science in Medical and Healthcare Simulation to advance his expertise in this area of pedagogy.
