Biography
Tori Thurmond earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from Lipscomb University then went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing: Poetry from Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington where she worked as poetry editor for Willow Springs Magazine. Her chapbook, Self-Assessment, was published by Finishing Line Press in the spring of 2024. Additionally, Thurmond's work has appeared in Nashville Poets Quarterly, Tiny Seed Journal, Black Bear Review, and The Racket. She currently lives in Nashville working as an adjunct writing professor at Lipscomb University, poetry editor for Waxing & Waning Literary Magazine, in addition to her full-time role as a senior content specialist.
