Biography
Matthew Sterling is an award-winning filmmaker and post-production expert whose 25-year career spans everything from commercials and music videos to feature films and non-fiction television. As an editor, Sterling has created hundreds of television promos and trailers for broadcast and cable networks and has been twice honored with nominations for “Best Editing” at ProMax / BDA. Additionally, he has edited theatrical films for Sony and Lionsgate and produced 150 episodes of documentary television for travel companies Lonely Planet and The Adventurists. In 2022, Sterling was a Semi-Finalist in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship for screenwriting, and his script “Home Video” was optioned soon after. He holds a B.A. in Film & Video Theory and Production from the Honors Program at Belmont University and lives with his family in Brentwood, TN.
