Corey Shannon
Student Wellbeing
Assistant Director of Student Success and Wellbeing
Biography
After graduating from the University in 2021 with a degree in Marketing and Vocational Ministry, Corey joined the Office of Student Success & Wellbeing in December that same year as the New Student Programs Coordinator. Having served on the Quest Team as both a team member and co-director of New Student Orientation programs, Corey came to value the formative power of welcoming students well and preparing them for success on campus—work that reflects where vocation and calling meet for the sake of others. Now serving as the Assistant Director of Student Success & Wellbeing, Corey oversees all New Student Orientation programs and leads strategic communications for the Office of Student Life.
Furthermore, he holds a Master of Theological Studies from Lipscomb University, and he draws on this formation throughout his work, recognizing all of life as inherently theological and helping students see their whole lives as places to encounter God and partner with Him in the world. Outside of work, you’ll find him enjoying a good book in a coffee shop on a rainy day, pondering theology, eating Skyline Chili (a staple of his hometown, Cincinnati, OH), or spending time with close friends and family.
