Biography

Nancy Posey may be the only member of the English faculty who earned a B.S. in Accounting from Lipscomb (1976).  She also has a M.A. Ed. in Secondary Education (English) from the University of North Alabama (1988) and will graduate from Lipscomb with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership in December 2023. She taught at the secondary level in Alabama for 5 years and North Carolina for 12 years before moving to Caldwell Community College in 2007, from which she retired in 2015. She has also taught for Appalachian State University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Columbia State Community College.

Upon moving to Nashville, she began teaching as an adjunct at Lipscomb in 2017. She has taught Introduction to University Writing, University Writing, and British Literature. She also serves as a student teacher supervisor for Lipscomb's College of Education.
