Biography

Originally from the small town of Moulton, Alabama, Carson attended Auburn University where he majored in Radio, TV, and Film. While at Auburn, Carson applied for and received an internship opportunity at Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Los Angeles. As a lifelong fan of animation, Carson felt this was a specific door God was opening for him in the entertainment industry. Carson took the internship and parlayed it into an entry level position at the studio, eventually working his way into the Writers Room of the Nick animated series “Harvey Beaks”. It was there he received his first writing credits and made connections that would ultimately land him at Disney to write on the hit series “Big City Greens”. Carson has been working as a staff writer on Big City since day 1 of production. In over 8 years on the show, Carson has individually written more than 50 episodes, spanning across 4 seasons, while contributing to many more. Carson moved to Nashville three years ago to get closer to family, but he continues to write for Big City Greens remotely. Carson loves teaching at Lipscomb as an adjunct and feels it’s another opportunity God has called him to seize.
