Biography
As a subject liaison, Ellen Marshall provides support in the following areas:
- Simplifying the research process by helping students select & narrow a topic and creating research plans
- Helping students to evaluate and select appropriate resources for their projects
- Supporting faculty through the research process, and by making classroom visits
Ellen Marshall began her career in academic librarianship at Lipscomb University in October 2022. She has worked to ensure her patrons have the skills necessary to find & access the information they need. Her research interests include information-seeking behaviors, library anxiety on college campuses, and library instruction techniques. She enjoys traveling, writing, video games, time with her family, and of course, reading. Ellen’s favorite part of her job is working with students and empowering them to think creatively through the research process.
