Biography
Charles Long is a graphic designer, illustrator, and motion graphics artist with nearly 30 years experience. He is currently an Artist in Residence teaching courses related to 3D content creation. He received his BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Illustration from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his MA in Illustration from Falmouth University, Falmouth U.K.
Some of his previous work experience has been an art director for Lifeway Christian Resources adult and student ministry departments and an art director for United Methodist Publishing House children ministry department. For his entire professional career, he has been a freelance illustrator for clients like Sterling Branding, Charmin, Palmolive, and Colgate as well as several local companies. He worked as a character designer, storyboard artist, and 3D modeler for Magnetic Dreams animation studio. While working with Magnetic Dreams, He had the opportunity to assist with some of the opening sequences for the Nashville Predators.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities with his wife Suzanne, daughter Olivia, son Ryan, and Oliver their French Bulldog.
