Biography
Ben Killion is an adjunct faculty member at Lipscomb University and a data engineering manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). Ben has worked in healthcare technology, data analytics, and technical leadership since 2012, beginning his career investigating healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse in support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). He later joined VUMC, where his roles have spanned healthcare operations, data consulting, data engineering, and technical leadership. Today, he leads teams responsible for data engineering, analytics enablement, business intelligence, and enterprise data delivery.
Ben has taught at Lipscomb since 2020, bringing his industry experience into undergraduate and graduate courses in business intelligence, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. His teaching interests focus on the practical application of data and emerging technologies to business problems, with an emphasis on data literacy, analytical thinking, and data-informed decision-making.
Ben earned his Master of Business Administration from Lipscomb University.
