Biography
Ashley Jackson is a Nashville native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University in 2016, her Master of Business Administration from Lipscomb University in 2022, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University. Throughout her DNP and MBA training, Ashley focused on the effects of healthcare systems on patient outcomes and nurse well-being. With a background in obstetrics and women's health, Ashley has a passion for safe care, effective patient education, and new nurse graduate transition to practice.
Ashley first joined Lipscomb in 2020 working in Nursing Admissions. She has since worked as nursing faculty, teaching in obstetrics and healthcare simulation across the nursing curriculum at Belmont University. In 2023, Ashley was appointed as the Assistant Director of the Accelerated BSN Program at Lipscomb. As a follower of Christ, Ashley believes all people are created on purpose, with inherent dignity and worth. She strives to encourage and support students by coupling high standards with high regard. Ashley's goal is for all students to feel valued and experience the love of Christ. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys traveling, reading, and a good cup of coffee with friends and family.
