Biography

Brett Hinson is a seasoned executive with comprehensive experience in financial services, insurance, transportation and the services industry. With over thirty years of technology experience, in both application development/management and infrastructure management, he brings those experiences to impact Lipscomb University as the Vice President of Information Technology.

Over the course of his career, Brett has led transformational change, implemented large-scale systems at Bank of America and has been a catalyst of change to lead in the grey areas of change. He leads with proven decision-making skills, strong financial analysis, and organizational skills and a demonstrated strategic partnering track record.

Brett believes that at Lipscomb University we have the honor to interact, develop relationships, coach, and mentor a host of students as they pass through campus. For him, this is a chance to connect with the next generation, share perspective, gain understanding and hopefully become a steady rock as a student navigates life, school, and our changing world. Hinson believes we are uniquely positioned to have a significant impact in the lives of students as they join our community. As such, this opportunity is one of the core reasons to invest time and energy at Lipscomb. He is a native of Middle Tennessee, growing up in Waverly.
