Biography

Rebecca Dean teaches courses across fashion design and merchandising, with an emphasis on garment construction, digital design, industry-specific technology, and professional skill development. With a background in entrepreneurship and fashion, her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning, creative problem-solving, and connecting classroom learning to professional practice.

Rebecca oversees the Fashion Design Labs, supporting the equipment, technology, and resources that facilitate hands-on learning. She also oversees the 1891 Fashion Truck, Lipscomb’s mobile fashion retail and experiential learning initiative, where students apply skills in merchandising, design, retail, marketing, events, and entrepreneurship in a real-world setting.
