Biography

Rebecca Curry is a Nashville native and a Lipscomb University alumna—go Bisons! After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in English Teaching, she earned her Master of Arts in English from Middle Tennessee State University where she is currently working on her dissertation as an English Ph.D. candidate. Her areas of specialization are American Literature 1910-present and literary theory and criticism.

In the midst of her studies, Rebecca has been a high school English teacher, community college instructor, managing editor, and instructional designer. She transitioned from writing and designing curriculum to creating and leading professional development for middle and high school educators with an emphasis on student engagement and strategic planning. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, traveling, exercising, being with friends and family, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols.
