Biography
Dr. Sarah P. Collier joined the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Fall of 2018. Dr. Collier earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a Biotechnology emphasis from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and a Master of Science degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. After completing her doctorate degree from the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology from Vanderbilt University in 2014, she served in the role of Senior Project Manager of Special Projects in the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center focusing on research resource operations, biobanking/genomics, and healthcare informatics.

Dr. Collier's primary topics of interest are Immunology and Microbiology as well as Molecular Biology in alignment with her biomedical training. Dr. Collier is an expert in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Her academic research focuses on metacognition, student pharmacist academic support, and active learning in health professions education.
