Lipscomb University has achieved a record enrollment milestone this spring. First-day spring semester enrollment numbers indicate the largest cohort of new graduate students for this term in university history.

Spring semester classes began on Monday, Jan. 6. Lipscomb administrators anticipate additional enrollment growth this semester as several graduate program cohorts will begin in the next few weeks. This growth underscores the university's commitment to providing rigorous academic programs and meaningful professional development opportunities that prepare students for lives of purpose and impact. The achievement follows concerted efforts across the university to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, refine marketing strategies and build stronger relationships with prospective students.

Rick Holaway, associate provost of graduate enrollment, attributes this success to enhanced cooperation among key university stakeholders.

“Working closely with the deans and University Marketing has strengthened collaboration opportunities across departments and disciplines,” said Holaway. “This integrated approach has not only strengthened our outreach efforts but also reinforced the value and relevance of a Lipscomb graduate education in today’s competitive academic landscape.”

Contributing to this milestone is enrollment growth in Lipscomb’s College of Education through the launch of several new programs and partnerships.

“Through innovative program offerings and strategic partnerships and developing programming that meets workforce demands, the College of Education continues to meet the evolving needs of schools, educators and leaders in the field,” said Leslie Cowell, dean of the College of Education. “We are proud to contribute to this record-breaking achievement and to equip our graduate students with the tools they need to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.”

Also adding to this record are new graduate students enrolled in the graduate certificate and master’s degree program in applied AI and Master of Science degree in sport analytics programs that launched in the fall.

With more than 85 graduate programs to choose from, Lipscomb offers a variety of graduate certificate programs along with master’s specialist and doctoral degrees.
