Lipscomb University graduates 200+ in Dec. 15 ceremony

Lipscomb University’s fall commencement will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.15, in Allen Arena, on the Lipscomb campus located off of Granny White Pike in Nashville.

All 209 graduates expected to participate in the ceremony will be treated to a breakfast and the President’s Reception that morning. Provost Craig Bledsoe will preside at the ceremony and President Randy Lowry will make comments and confer the degrees.

Lipscomb’s December 2007 fall graduating class includes 104 Bachelors of Science, 51 Bachelors of Arts, three Bachelors of Business Administration, one Bachelor of Music in Music Education, 31 Masters of Arts, 13 Masters of Business Administration, 12 Masters of Education, four Masters of Divinity and two Masters of Theological Studies.

This ceremony will be the first time Lipscomb has awarded its Masters of Arts in Special Education and Bachelor of Business Administration.

Lipscomb University delivers a complete liberal arts education characterized by an integration of Christian faith and practice with academic excellence, preparing each student spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically for life and eternity.

Since January 2006, Lipscomb has added seven graduate programs to its roster, established the first College of Pharmacy in Middle Tennessee and created the only Institute for Conflict Management in the Mid-South. In fall 2007, Lipscomb debuted the Institute for Law, Justice and Society and the Institute for Sustainable Practice.

Students at Lipscomb University can earn a bachelor’s degree in 90 fields of study and several pre-professional programs. Lipscomb offers 22 fields of study at the master’s level, a doctoral degree in pharmacy as of fall 2008 and an accelerated adult degree program for those who wish to complete their undergraduate degrees in the evening.
