Lipscomb graduates 200+ in December graduation ceremony

At Lipscomb University’s fall commencement Saturday President L. Randolph Lowry challenged more than 200 graduates to “go
forth into a world that badly needs your compassion, love and talent.”

This ceremony marked the first time Lipscomb awarded the masters of arts in special education and bachelor of business administration. Lipscomb’s December 2007 fall graduating class included:

Professor of Communication Paul Prill, who spoke on behalf of the faculty, encouraged graduates to make a difference in the world.

“We’ve tried to teach you what it means to live in the kingdom of God. We hope you will take the charge seriously and be subversive influences on the world,” he said.

Since January 2006, Lipscomb has added seven graduate programs to its roster, established the first College of Pharmacy in Middle Tennessee and created the only Institute for Conflict Management in the Mid-South. In fall 2007, Lipscomb debuted the Institute for Law, Justice and Society and the Institute for Sustainable Practice.

Students at Lipscomb University can earn a bachelor’s degree in 90 fields of study and several pre-professional programs. Lipscomb offers 22 fields of study at the master’s level, a doctoral degree in pharmacy as of fall 2008 and an adult learning program for those who wish to complete their undergraduate degrees in the evening.
