Biography

Andrew Favorito is Adjunct Professor of Bassoon at Lipscomb University. Andrew is an active orchestral musician, and is currently 3rd Bassoonist / Contrabassoonist of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he performs regularly with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Kentucky, and Jackson (TN) Symphony Orchestra. Andrew also frequently plays bassoon and contrabassoon in Nashville studio orchestras recording music for video games and film, with recent titles including Hershey (2026), Towerborne, Marvel's Wolverine, 2XKO, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, Diablo IV, and many more. Prior to coming to Tennessee, Andrew was an active freelance musician in Los Angeles, CA.

Andrew is originally from Paulding, OH, and is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Bowling Green State University, with primary teachers being Shawn Mouser (LA Philharmonic), Dr. Susan Nelson (Bowling Green State University), and Dennis Fick (Fort Wayne Philharmonic).
