Biography
Rob Byus grew up playing trumpet and bass guitar in St. Albans, West Virginia. After graduating from West Virginia State University College on a full music scholarship, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.
In 1995 he started playing with Blake Shelton, and continues as Shelton’s musical director and bassist to this day. Byus continues to add to his growing list of studio credits on bass, and has recently become an adjunct professor in the Music Department at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
