What's life like for a Global Student at Lipscomb Academy?

Global Students are encouraged and supported to take full advantage of both academic and extracurricular opportunities. From taking part in clubs and athletic teams to meeting together weekly for chapel in a typical academic year, our team will work diligently to ensure that students take full advantage of both our campus and the Nashville community. The countries and cultures of our Global Students are celebrated throughout the year with special events.

Lipscomb Academy has various elective programs that allow international students to dive into the school life here easier. Study abroad is very challenging, but at Lipscomb, the supportive friends made my life a little easier.

Host Families

Our homestay program offers Global Students a true family experience during their time at Lipscomb Academy.  Our approved Lipscomb Academy host families are recruited from our school community, screened, trained, and receive ongoing support. Host families are valuable partners as we seek to serve Global Students.

I have been at Lipscomb for 4 years throughout high school. Gradually, I feel like Lipscomb is not merely a school that I go to. It's a family where we love and help each other.

“Lipscomb Academy is not only an enjoyable environment and a comprehensive community but also a family filled with love and respect. Going through the difficult transition from one culture to another, the teachers and students at the academy welcomed me with warm hugs and offered me so much help. Despite my family far from home, they embrace me into the school and make me feel like I have an even bigger family here at Lipscomb.”
