Biography
Blending a strong foundation in business with expertise in nutrition Wendy Smith is a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Tennessee. She holds a BS in Business from the University of Montana and an MBA from Arizona State University. Her early career in California included strategic marketing, sales, and public relations roles for both large and small tech companies. After earning her Certificate in Dietetics and Nutrition from Lipscomb University and completing her internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she worked in private practice, contributed to a weight loss research program at Stanford University Medical Center, and taught nutrition at San José State University. At Lipscomb, she has taught Wellness in the Kinesiology Department and Food Science in the Nutrition Department.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys volunteering through church, running, working out, learning new things (currently knitting), and being an enthusiastic—if imperfect—golfer and pickleball player.
