NASHVILLE, TN - Lipscomb University presents its 43rd annual presentation of Singarama March 9-11 in Collins Alumni Auditorium, located at 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m. nightly with a Saturday matinee also scheduled for 2 p.m.

Singarama is open to the public. Tickets are $9 for the Thursday night performance and $12 for the Friday and Saturday performances. To purchase tickets or for more information call the Lipscomb University Campus Life Office at 279-6057 or 800-333-4358, ext. 6057.

The theme for this year is "Lights, Camera, Action!" Student groups will carry out the theme in three segments of the show.

Singarama is a variety show directed, performed and hosted by students and is comprised of three groups. During the performances, groups are judged in various categories including theme, music, choreography and costumes. The group with the most points after the Saturday evening performance wins the "Sweepstakes" award.

"It is impossible to measure on an individual basis the sense of accomplishment, the enjoyment, the friendships, and the willingness to give something of value to the university that can be attributed to Singarama," Gamble said.  "It has, over time, been our most popular student activity."

Since its debut in 1964, more than 14,500 students have participated in Singarama.
