Questions to Consider in the Transfer Process
Should I transfer to a different college?
If you’re a community college student wanting to earn your bachelor’s degree, you'll need to continue your education at a four-year university, and Lipscomb has agreements with every community college in Tennessee to ensure all your credits transfer. If you’re at another four-year institution and feel like you need a fresh start, want to be closer to home, live in a larger city or pursue a program not offered at your current school, it might be time to make a change.
Will all of my credits transfer to another college?
Most schools offer a transcript evaluation to determine how much of your credit will count at their institution. At Lipscomb, we generally accept courses from regionally accredited colleges with a grade of "C" or higher and will accept up to 63 credits from a community college and up to 94 from a four-year university.
How does financial aid work for transfer students?
Transfer students are typically eligible for financial aid such as scholarships, grants, loans and work-study but must submit the FAFSA to receive aid. Lipscomb offers unique scholarship options for transfer students to ensure a degree remains within financial reach, whether you're coming from a community college or another university.

"Nashville is Music City, so there are lots of awesome performances to go to. Some of my favorite Nashville memories are at a John Mayer or Pitbull concert or winning tickets from SAB trivia night to go see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra with my friends."
