Lipscomb University's Organizational Leadership master's program equips students with a comprehensive toolkit of knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to thrive in leadership roles across a wide spectrum of organizations. This program empowers individuals with the essential expertise and capabilities to lead in today's complex and ever-changing organizational landscape effectively. Students will enhance soft skills and adopt a holistic approach to drive strategic change throughout the organization.

Choose to take this 10-12 month program fully online or hybrid (online and in-person) for flexibility as a full-time professional. In addition, this master's comes with a built-in certificate in Conflict Management to further train you to handle some of the most difficult situations.

Rick Holaway

Rick Holaway

Associate Provost for Graduate Enrollment & Director of Organizational Leadership

Rick Holaway serves as the Associate Provost for Graduate Enrollment and Support, and as an Assistant Professor in the College of Business, teaching marketing and management courses to undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to becoming an Associate Provost, he served 16 years overseeing the enrollment at Lipscomb as the Vice President for Enrollment Management, and 4.5 years as a full-time faculty member where he served as Chair of Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and directed the MBA program. Holaway received his B.S. and MBA from Lipscomb University and his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from George Fox University.

Steve Joiner

Steve Joiner

Executive Director ICM and Dean, College of Leadership and Public Service

Steve Joiner is the Dean of the College of Leadership and Public Service and Executive Director of the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University. Joiner also serves as Professor of Conflict Management. At Lipscomb, he teaches or has taught courses in Organizational Conflict, Conflict Systems Design, Religious Conflict and Negotiation.

Tracy Allen

Tracy Allen

Adjunct Faculty

Tracy Allen is an international professional mediator, arbitrator and ADR trainer. As a litigator and business tax attorney for many years, she now specializes in conflict resolution and Allen acts as a neutral service provider in other ADR areas such as early neutral evaluation, summary jury trials, special master, meeting facilitator and litigation support analyst. She also serves as independent resolution counsel for litigants.

Jeff Thompson

Jeff Thompson

Adjunct Faculty

Jeff Thompson, Ph.D., teaches in the Institute for Conflict Management and Leadership programs in Lipscomb University's College for Leadership and Public Service. He retired recently after serving more than 20 years as a detective in the New York City Police Department (NYPD) where he was their first-ever mental health and wellness coordinator and previously a hostage negotiator. He is also an adjunct associate research scientist in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
