Note: This event is required for undergraduate students only. Undergraduate students are required to attend to pick up their Cap and Gown and check their graduation status. Masters and Doctoral regalia will be distributed through their respective departments.

Rehearsal for all Graduates: 12:30 pm - Student Activity Center (SAC)

Note: Check-in for rehearsal begins at 11:30 AM, all graduates must be in their seats when rehearsal begins promptly at 12:30 PM.  Plan to arrive no later than noon to check in and find your seat.

Commencement: 2:00 PM -- Allen Arena

Order a Cap and Gown

Students will be able to order their cap and gown from Jostens during the following ordering windows depending on their intended ceremony of participation:

May Commencement: November 15th - January 31st

December Commencement: July 31st - September 15th

Baccalaureate worship service

Baccalaureate Service and Reception

Baccalaureate worship service marks the spiritual formation of the students. Undergraduates were welcomed to the Lipscomb community during Initium, a devotional and torch-passing ceremony, and are released into the world during this gathering.

Commencement Ceremony

The formal conferring of degrees occurs during the commencement ceremony. Graduates and their families will hear words of encouragement from various speakers and can celebrate this significant milestone in their lives.

IDEAL Graduation

Every year, Lipscomb honors IDEAL program graduates with a ceremony celebrating their academic accomplishments. Each student is awarded with a certificate in Career Exploration and met with the encouragement and applause of peers, family, faculty, and mentors from their journey at Lipscomb.
