Kelly Swiggart, director of academic support
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and sociology from Belmont University and a Master’s Degree in marriage and family therapy from Trevecca University.
Kelly oversees the academic support services provided to students with learning disabilities, as well as those students enrolled in Equip tutoring services. She maintains coherence and continuity of the overall program and responds to issues relevant to the academic, social and emotional well-being of students. In her work, she collaborates with students, parents, teachers, administration and external providers to identify strategies for a student’s academic success. Kelly and her husband, Will, have four boys who attend Lipscomb Academy. Kelly has served as the director of Lipscomb Academy’s Academic Support program since 2019.

Lyndsie North, lower school learning services coordinator
Education: Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Union University, a master’s degree in teacher leadership from the University of Louisville and currently a doctoral candidate in the Learning Organizations and Strategic Change program at Lipscomb University.
Lyndsie assisted in the launching of Gifted Services at the lower school and has been teaching Gifted classes since 2017. Prior to working at Lipscomb Academy, she taught elementary for 5 years in the metro school system in Louisville, Kentucky. Lyndsie and her husband, Alan, have one daughter who attends Lipscomb Academy.

Sam Stewart-Bell, student success coordinator (5th-12th)
Samantha Stewart-Bell, student success coordinator. Education: Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, University of Tennessee; Master’s degree in molecular biology, Lipscomb University. Stewart-Bell has extensive research experience and two publications in the area of health sciences. She began her time at Lipscomb Academy in 2018 as a science and math tutor with Equip tutoring services. Stewart-Bell has a passion for serving students with specific learning differences and is committed to providing academic guidance, intervention and support to students. She is an advocate for students and faculty to facilitate an environment of academic success and collaborates with students, teachers, parents and administration to formulate plans for student success. A community leader, Stewart-Bell serves as the vice president of the Junior Board Committee for the YWCA Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Ken Jones, Equip testing coordinator (5th-12th)
Education: Bachelor's degree in mathematics and a Master's degree in business administration from The University of Tennessee.
Ken is a veteran educator with experience teaching high school math and has served as an adjunct math professor at several colleges in the Atlanta area. In addition, he has spent nearly two decades tutoring students in all levels of math, science, ACT and SAT prep. Ken was a National Merit/Achievement Scholar and a Telluride Association Scholar, while also earning the Tennessee Graduate Fellowship.
