Lipscomb Academy has named Ryan Bouch, a former Britsh semi-professional coach and player, as its new varsity boys soccer coach.

Bouch, whose playing and coaching career spans more than 25 years at the international level takes over immediately as head coach of the varsity boys soccer program.

“Ryan is a talented coach who understands the work and commitment required to play soccer at the highest levels and can maximize the strengths and talents of every player he works with,” said Lipscomb Academy Athletic Director Dr. Mike Roller. “He has a love for soccer that spans virtually his entire life, and I look forward to the perspective and insight he will bring to our soccer program.”

Bouch has significant experience as a player and coach, playing for British teams including Debden Town FC, Cambridge City, and Newmarket Town. During his time with Debden Town, he served as both a player and coach. He has also served in fitness training roles for multiple teams with a specialty in developing tactics and formations.

"My love for the game of soccer is one of my greatest passions, and there is no greater accomplishment than seeing your players excelling and maximizing their talents,” said Bouch. “There is a growing excitement around the game of soccer in the United States, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to offer my experience and skills to build the soccer program at Lipscomb Academy.”

Bouch and his wife, Kaitlyn, who is from Chattanooga, moved to the United States in 2015 and attend Hillsboro Church of Christ.
