Affinity Groups
The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide a place for students who are seeking a sense of identity, comfort or support within a specific culture or are interested in experiencing and/or learning about a different culture. Affinity groups report to the Office of Intercultural Development.
- Black Student Union
In an effort to foster an accommodating and supportive environment for Black students, the Black Student Union seeks to elevate and amplify the voices of these students at Lipscomb University. In recognition of the need for an organization to meet the academic, political, spiritual and social needs of Black students, we the Black Student Union seek to establish and maintain an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. - Collegiate 100
Members of the Collegiate 100 will assist the local (sponsoring) 100 Black Men Chapter with its programmatic initiatives that support the development of youth who have few or no positive role models in the communities in which they live. We set a generational precedence of leadership through mentorship, faith, diligence and service to the community. - International Honor Society
The purpose of the W.E.B. DuBois Honor Society is to honor the memory of W.E.B. DuBois by promoting the pursuit of academic excellence in all fields of higher education, to engage the community of scholars in service to others and to recognize the outstanding achievements of the society’s members. - African Student Association (ASA)
The mission of this association is to aid the African students on Lipscomb's campus by giving them different resources to succeed in their academic and social endeavors.
Ministry & Service
The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide some type of service to the community or fulfill a ministerial mission. These organizations report to the Office of Spiritual Formation.
- BUD Ministries
BUD is a men’s ministry that creates an atmosphere of brotherhood where we journey through life together trying to understand and follow the plan that God has laid out for us. -
Delight Ministries
Delight exists to be a place that any Lipscomb collegiate woman can come and grow in relationships with others, ask difficult questions and find a strong community of Christians and non-Christians alike. Delight provides an opportunity for the women of Lipscomb to explore their faith in a nonjudgmental and open environment. Delight hopes to equip the women of Lipscomb to give back to the community through service and loving actions. -
Disciples on Campus
D.O.C. is a college ministry that will promote Christ's love and His teachings. The purpose of this group is to create a spiritual environment, centered on the Bible, where students can communicate, teach and learn about one's life and doctrine. We are evangelistic, and welcome everyone to Bible Talk discussions, midweek services, campus devotionals, service events, worship, retreats, conferences, training programs, prayer and more. -

OCCM - Orthodox Christian Campus Ministry
OCCM aims to experience the church through prayer, service and study of Oriental Orthodox Literature, to evangelize the unique message of Oriental Orthodox Churches and to deepen involvement of youth into the Oriental Orthodox Community through personal and professional development, fostering a spiritual support system to unite Oriental Orthodox and non-Oriental Orthodox college students under one banner. -
Pi Kappa Sigma
Pi Kappa Sigma has been an active organization at Lipscomb since 2003, and we bring girls together for a time of fellowship and worship, and loving and healthy friendships. -
Students4Students
Students4Students is for all students to feel part of the Lipscomb community despite this season of isolation, including those on and off campus, and in quarantine, providing encouragement to students in isolation with notes, activities and special treats.
Club Sports
The primary purpose of these organizations is to provide a space for students to engage in non-varsity athletics. Club sports organizations report to the Director of the Student Activities Center.

LipsClimb
LipsClimb assembles a community of experienced climbers on Lipscomb's campus as well as reaches people who want to get into the sport but don't have anyone to show them the "ropes." Besides being a health-centered sport, climbing is becoming wildly popular around the world (Olympics 2020!). -
Lipscomb Racquetball
Lipscomb Racquetball cultivates a group of racquetball enthusiasts to form a more solid community of players. -
Lipscomb Roundnet Club
The Lipscomb Roundnet Club promotes healthy competition and a love for Spikeball between both new players and enthusiasts, as well as practices for competitive tournaments to bring recognition to both the club and Lipscomb. -
Lipscomb Ultimate Frisbee
Lipscomb Ultimate Frisbee creates great community among students from all different majors and backgrounds looking for a year-round sport. -
Lipscomb University Triathlon Club
The purpose of the Lipscomb Triathlon Club is to create a community based on a shared interest in triathlons. The club is open to individuals of all levels of prior experience with triathlons. -
Longshot Gaming
Longshot Gaming establishes a foundation for future Esports teams and involvement of students within the School of Computing through events and improves the community and visibility of the School of Computing. -
Bison Strength Club
The Lipscomb Strength Club will provide students with personal goal-oriented fitness progression and promote overall physical health in a safe and controlled environment.
General Organizations
The primary purpose of these organizations is to create pathways for students to share similar interests. These organizations report directly to the Director of Student Involvement.
- Alpha Kappa Psi
We are an encouraging, diverse and friendly community that provides friendship, professional development and networking opportunities. - Best Buddies
Best Buddies Friendship's mission is to build one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through their participation, people with IDD form meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy. -
Campus Dependents’ Organization
Our goal is to increase the sense of community amount dependent students and those with military ties to fellowship and network together. -
College Republicans
Lipscomb Republicans is a student political group to give and enact support for the Republican Party of Tennessee and open up discussion on campus of the values of government and social philosophy that permeate throughout our lives. We seek to reach for the betterment of society and understanding of our democracy through rational discussion and political activism. -

Herd Media
We are a group made up of students from all majors who have a desire to submit various forms of media to be shared with the Lipscomb community. Herd Media publishes news in several formats–articles, photo galleries, TV and radio. We cover campus events, Nashville news, sports, movie reviews, opinions and much more, and we're always open to new ideas. -
International Justice Mission
As a university chapter, we conduct awareness events and fundraisers, working with people of all majors and the Office of Spiritual Formation. While this is an international organization, we also have contacts with those working to stop modern day slavery locally, including Ancora Tennessee, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and others. For students, this organization provides opportunities to help internationally and locally on important issues, even as college students. -
Lipscomb Anime Club
The Lipscomb Anime Club's mission is to provide its members with an entertaining and welcoming environment in which to view anime and anime films on a weekly basis. We invite anyone to participate in our meetings and activities so we can introduce the anime genre to a brand new audience and let them see that anime can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter the age or person. -
Model United Nations
Through mock crisis simulations on the biggest issues facing our world today, members will have opportunities to debate and resolve with one another, each representing a different country. These representations coalesce for a diverse and eclectic room of people focused on coming together to solve problems. Members will also have an opportunity to travel to Atlanta for a conference with many other schools from across the nation. -
Share Our Supper
The mission of Share Our Supper is to bring awareness to students about hunger in the United States and Nashville and get students involved in reducing food waste on campus. -
Hablemos (Spanish Conversation Group)
Hablemos' mission is to bring a diverse group of people in community to practice speaking Spanish conversationally. All levels are welcome from beginner to fluent. This group is designed for everyone to grow and learn from one another (even for fluent speakers)! This is not a class. It is just a space for people to come together freely and comfortably–a place to make mistakes and be okay with it! -
